He was rushed to the ER and then airlifted to the Medical College of Virginia. He was placed on a ventilator, put into a coma and the blood to his brain was cut off.

The authorities were called and questioned Jared’s parents. Jared’s father, David Patton, was charged and convicted of child abuse and sentenced to 7 years in prison with 13 years of probation after his release.
